Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

DESTROYED WILL BE the hands of Abu Lahab, and he himself will perish. 1 What will his wealth avail him, and all that he has gained? 2 He will be plunged in flaming Fire, 3 And his wife also: the firewood carrier; 4 In her neck is a twisted rope of Masad (palm fibre). 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
