Al-Baqarah 5 of 40

O children of Israel, remember the favours I bestowed on you. So keep your pledge to Me, and I will mine to you, and be fearful of Me, 40 And believe in that which I reveal, confirming that which ye possess already (of the Scripture), and be not first to disbelieve therein, and part not with My revelations for a trifling price, and keep your duty unto Me. 41 And cover not Truth with falsehood, nor conceal the Truth when ye know (what it is). 42 and be constant in prayer, and spend in charity, and bow down in prayer with all who thus bow down. 43 ۞ Enjoin you Al-Birr (piety and righteousness and each and every act of obedience to Allah) on the people and you forget (to practise it) yourselves, while you recite the Scripture [the Taurat (Torah)]! Have you then no sense? 44 Seek you help in patience and prayer, for grievous it is, save to the humble 45 Who know that they shall meet their Lord and that they shall return to Him. 46
