Surely We have sent down to thee the Book with the truth, so that thou mayest judge between the people by that God has shown thee. So be not an advocate for the traitors; 105 but pray God to forgive [them]: behold, God is indeed much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace. 106 And do not dispute on behalf of those who betray themselves; surely God loves not the guilty traitor. 107 They hide themselves from men, but hide not themselves from God; for He is with them while they meditate at night discourse unpleasing to Him; God encompasses the things they do. 108 Lo! You are those who have argued for them in the life of this world, but who will argue for them on the Day of Resurrection against Allah, or who will then be their defender? 109 He who does either evil or wrongs himself, and then asks for the forgiveness of Allah, will find Allah All-Forgiving, All-Compassionate. 110 And whoever earns sin, his earnings will only be against himself; and Allah is the Knowing, Wise. 111 And anyone who commits an offence or a sin, then charges an innocent person with it, shall certainly bear the guilt of a calumny and a manifest sin. 112
