Remember when Moses said to his people, "O my people! Remember God's favour to you, He has raised up prophets among you, made you kings, and granted you [favours] such as He has not granted to anyone else in the world. 20 O my people! enter the holy land which Allah hath prescribed for you and turn not back to your rearward for then ye become losers. 21 'Moses' they replied, 'therein is a nation of giants. We will not enter until they depart from it; if they depart from it only then shall we enter' 22 Two from among these who were frightened but upon whom Allah had bestowed His favour said: 'Enter upon them through the gate - for if you do enter - you will be the victors. And put your trust in Allah if indeed you are men of faith.' 23 They said: 'Moses, we will never go in so long as they are in it. Go, you and your Lord, to fight. We will stay here' 24 Said he: my Lord I control not but myself and my brother, so decide Thou between us and this transgressing people. 25 (Their Lord) said: For this the land will surely be forbidden them for forty years that they will wander in the earth, bewildered. So grieve not over the wrongdoing folk. 26

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
