Enter the holy land which God has assigned for you. Do not turn back, or you will be the losers." 21 They said, "O Moses, indeed within it is a people of tyrannical strength, and indeed, we will never enter it until they leave it; but if they leave it, then we will enter." 22 Thereupon spake two men of those who feared and whom Allah had favoured; enter ye the gate against them, then as ye enter it ye are the overcomers - and put your trust in Allah, if ye are indeed believers. 23 They said, "We will never enter it, Moses, as long as they are there. Go, you and your Lord, and fight, and we will stay here." 24 Said Moosa, “My Lord! I have no control except over myself and my brother, so keep us separated from the disobedient nation.” (Do not count us among them). 25 Allah said: 'This land will now be forbidden to them for forty years and they will remain wandering about on the earth. Do not grieve over the condition of these transgressing people. 26
