The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate 1

Praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being, 2 the Beneficent, the Merciful; 3 Master of the Day of Judgment, 4 (Lord), You alone We do worship and from You alone we do seek assistance 5 Guide us to the straight path: 6 The path of those upon whom Thou hast bestowed favors. Not (the path) of those upon whom Thy wrath is brought down, nor of those who go astray. 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
