Animals (Al-An 'aam)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
All praises and thanks be to Allah, Who (Alone) created the heavens and the earth, and originated the darkness and the light, yet those who disbelieve hold others as equal with their Lord. 1 He it is who has created you out of clay, and then has decreed a term [for you] - a term known [only] to him. And yet you doubt 2 And He it is Who is One True God in the heavens and in the earth. He knows your deeds - both secret and open - and knows fully whatever you earn. 3 yet every time a sign comes to them from their Lord, they turn away from it. 4 They have refused the Truth (Muhammad's message) that has come to them but they will soon learn the consequences of their mocking. 5 Why do they not consider how many generations living before them We have destroyed. We established those nations in the land with abilities far beyond those given to you. We sent down plenty of rain from the sky for them and made streams flow therein, but, then, We destroyed them for their sins and established other nations after them. 6 (O Messenger!) Had We sent down to you a book incribed on parchment, and had they even touched it with their own hands, the unbelievers would still have said: 'This is nothing but plain magic.' 7 'Why has an angel not been sent down on him?' they say; yet had We sent down an angel, the matter would have been determined, and then no respite would be given them. 8 And if We had made him an angel, We would have made him [appear as] a man, and We would have covered them with that in which they cover themselves. 9 Other Messengers have been mocked before you. But those who scoffed at them were encompassed by that they had mocked' 10
