The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

286 verses, revealed in Medina after The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen) before The Spoils of War (Al-Anfaal)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Alif-Lam-Mim. 1 That is the Book, wherein is no doubt, a guidance to the godfearing 2 Who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them, 3 And who believe in that which hath been sent down unto thee and that which hath been sent down before thee and of the Hereafter they are convinced. 4 they are the people who are rightly following their Lord and it is they who shall be successful. 5 Surely those who disbelieve, it being alike to them whether you warn them, or do not warn them, will not believe. 6 God has sealed their hearts and their ears, and over their eyes there is a covering. They will have a terrible punishment. 7
