We have set in heaven constellations and decked them out fair to the beholders, 16 and have protected them against every accursed satan 17 save him who may eavesdrop, and then a bright flame pursues him. 18 We have spread out the earth, fixed mountains thereupon and caused everything to grow to its proper weight 19 to provide you and those for whose sustenance you are not responsible, with the necessities of life. 20 For, no single thing exists that does not have its source with Us; and nought do We bestow from on high unless it be in accordance with a measure well-defined. 21 And We send the fecundating winds, then cause the rain to descend from the sky, therewith providing you with water (in abundance), though ye are not the guardians of its stores. 22 And indeed it is We Who give life and it is We Who cause death, and We are the Inheritors. 23 We know those who lived before you and those who will come after you. 24 Your Lord will surely gather them together: Certainly He is all-wise and all-knowing. 25
