Al-Hijjr 4 of 6
Truly, the God-fearing shall dwell amid gardens and fountains -- 45 They will be told: "Enter it in peace and security." 46 And [by then] We shall have removed whatever unworthy thoughts or feelings may have been [lingering] in their breasts, [and they shall rest] as brethren, facing one another [in love] upon thrones of happiness. 47 Toil cometh not unto them there, nor will they be expelled from thence. 48 ۞ Tell My servants I am the All-forgiving, the All-compassionate, 49 And that My doom is the dolorous doom. 50 And tell them of the guests of Abraham, 51 They entered to him and said: 'Peace' but he replied: 'We are afraid of you' 52 They said: be not afraid; verily we bear thou the glad tidings of a boy knowing. 53 He said: 'What is this, do you bring me glad tidings even though I am old' Of what do you give me glad tidings' 54 They said, "We have given you good tidings in truth, so do not be of the despairing." 55 He said: "And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord, but such as go astray?" 56 [Ibrahim (Abraham) again] said: "What then is the business on which you have come, O Messengers?" 57 They (the angels) said: "We have been sent to a people who are Mujrimun (criminals, disbelievers, polytheists, sinners). 58 Except the family of Lot; indeed, we will save them all 59 "Except his wife, who, We have ascertained, will be among those who will lag behind." 60

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
