The people of al-Hijr also rejected Our messengers: 80 And We gave them Our communications, but they turned aside from them; 81 They used to hew dwellings in the mountains to live in security. 82 An explosion struck them in the morning. 83 So nothing availed them [from] what they used to earn. 84 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, but for just ends. And the Hour is surely coming (when this will be manifest). So overlook (any human faults) with gracious forgiveness. 85 Lo! Thy Lord! He is the All-Wise Creator. 86 And indeed We have given you seven verses that are repeated, and the great Qur’an. 87 Do not stretch your eyes to that We have given pairs of them to enjoy, nor sorrow for them, and lower your wing to the believers. 88 And say: "I am indeed a plain warner." 89 Just as We had revealed [scriptures] to the separators 90 and also divided the Quran believing in some parts and rejecting others. 91 By your Lord, We will question them all 92 About their deeds. 93 Proclaim then, what you are commanded and turn away from the unbelievers. 94 Truly! We will suffice you against the scoffers. 95 Those who adopt, with Allah, another god: but soon will they come to know. 96 And We already know that your breast is constrained by what they say. 97 Exalt with the praise of your Lord and be one of those who prostrate. 98 Worship your Lord till the certainty (death) comes to you. 99
