The people of al-Hijr also rejected Our messengers: 80 And We gave them Our Signs, but they were averse to them. 81 And they used to hew out dwellings from the mountains (feeling themselves) secure. 82 But the (mighty) Blast seized them of a morning, 83 that they earned did not avail them. 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, for a genuine purpose. The Day of Judgment will certainly approach, so (Muhammad) forgive them graciously. 85 Your Lord is the Creator, the Knower. 86 And certainly We have given you seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the grand Quran. 87 Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [certain] categories of the disbelievers, and do not grieve over them. And lower your wing to the believers 88 Say, "Indeed, I am simply one who warns." 89 As We have sent down on the dividers, (Quraish pagans or Jews and Christians). 90 Who have made the Qur'an into portions. 91 By the Lord, We will hold them all responsible 92 About what they used to do. 93 Therefore proclaim openly (Allah's Message Islamic Monotheism) that which you are commanded, and turn away from Al-Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, and disbelievers, etc. - see V. 2:105). 94 Indeed We suffice you against these mockers. 95 Those who ascribe another God along with Allah; so they will soon come to know. 96 And well do We know that thy bosom is constricted by the [blasphemous] things that they say: 97 Therefore proclaim the Purity of your Lord with praise, and be of those who prostrate. 98 Worship your Lord till the certainty (death) comes to you. 99
