And assuredly the dwellers of Hijr belied the sent ones. 80 We showed them miracles but they ignored them. 81 They used to hew dwellings in the mountains to live in security. 82 An explosion struck them in the morning. 83 And of no avail to them was all that they did (with such art and care)! 84 We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, save in truth. Surely the Hour is coming; so pardon thou, with a gracious pardoning. 85 Verily, your Lord is the All-Knowing Creator. 86 (Muhammad), We have given you the seven most repeated (verses) and the great Quran. 87 Do not yearn for other people's property and wives and do not grieve (that they do not believe). Be kind to the believers. 88 And say: Surely I am the plain warner. 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 those who had split up their Qur'an into pieces. 91 by your Lord, We shall question them all 92 about what they did. 93 Proclaim openly what you are commanded, and avoid the polytheists. 94 verily, We shall suffice thee against all who [now] deride [this message - all] 95 Who make [equal] with Allah another deity. But they are going to know. 96 We certainly know that you feel sad about what they say against you. 97 Exalt with the praise of your Lord and be one of those who prostrate. 98 And serve your Lord until there comes to you that which is certain. 99
