Al-Hijjr 6 of 6
And the people of the Hijr (rocks) denied the Noble Messengers. 80 And We gave them Our signs, but from them they were turning away. 81 And they used to carve from the mountains, houses, feeling secure. 82 But the Shout seized them in the morning, 83 and of no avail to them was all [the power] that they had acquired. 84 We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them save with truth, and lo! the Hour is surely coming. So forgive, (O Muhammad), with a gracious forgiveness. 85 Your Lord is certainly the All-knowing Creator. 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the great Qur'an. 87 [so] turn, not thine eyes [longingly] towards the worldly benefits which We have granted unto some of those [that deny the truth]. And neither grieve over those [who refuse to heed thee,] but spread the wings of thy tenderness over the believers, 88 And say: "I am a distinct warner," 89 Like (those) We had sent to those schismatics who slandered their Books 90 [and] who [now] declare this Qur'an to be [a tissue of] falsehoods! 91 so by your Lord, We will question them all 92 For that which they have been working. 93 So proclaim that which thou art commanded, and withdraw from the idolaters. 94 We shall help you against those who mock you 95 Who make [equal] with Allah another deity. But they are going to know. 96 We do indeed know how thy heart is distressed at what they say. 97 But you should glorify your Lord with praises, and be among those who bow in submission; 98 and worship your Lord until the last moment (of your life) that will most certainly come. 99
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
