It is He who sends down rain from the sky; from it is drink and from it is foliage in which you pasture [animals]. 10 He causes to grow for you thereby herbage, and the olives, and the palm trees, and the grapes, and of all the fruits; most surely there is a sign in this for a people who reflect. 11 And He has subjected to you the night and the day, the sun and the moon; and the stars are subjected by His Command. Surely, in this are proofs for people who understand. 12 On the earth He has fashioned for you objects of various hues: there is certainly a sign in that for people who pay heed. 13 And it is He Who subjected the sea for you, so you eat fresh meat from it, and extract ornaments from it which you wear; and you see ships ploughing through it and in order that you may seek His munificence and that you may give thanks. 14 God has fixed the mountains on earth lest you should be hurled away when it quakes. Therein He has also made rivers and roads so that you will find your way. 15 And landmarks (too), and by the star they find a way. 16 Is then the One Who creates like the one who does not create? Will you not, then, take heed? 17 And if you would count Allah's favors, you will not be able to number them; most surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. 18 And Allah knoweth that which ye keep secret and that which ye publish. 19 But those whom you invoke, other than Allah do not create anything they are themselves created. 20 (They are) dead, not living. And they know not when they will be raised. 21
