۞ Allah has commanded: "Do not take two gods; for He is but One God. So fear Me alone." 51 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and (all that is in) the earth and Ad-Din Wasiba is His [(i.e. perpetual sincere obedience to Allah is obligatory). None has the right to be worshipped but Allah)]. Will you then fear any other than Allah? 52 And whatever you have of favor - it is from Allah. Then when adversity touches you, to Him you cry for help. 53 Yet when He removes the evil from you, lo! a party of you associate others with their Lord; 54 [as if] to prove their ingratitude for all that We have granted them! Enjoy, then, your [brief] life: but in time you will come to know [the truth]! 55 They set aside a portion of the food We have given them for those they do not know. By God, you will surely have to answer for all you contrive! 56 And they ascribe daughters to Allah, glory be to Him; and for themselves (they would have) what they desire. 57 And when the news of (the birth of) a female (child) is brought to any of them, his face becomes dark, and he is filled with inward grief! 58 Skulking from the people because of the evil of that which hath been announced unto him: shall he keep it with ignominy or bury it in the dust? Lo! vile is that which they judge! 59 [Thus it is that] the attribute of evil applies to all who do not believe in the life to come - whereas unto God applies the attribute of all that is most sublime: for He alone is almighty, truly wise! 60
