Abraham was, certainly, an obedient and upright person. He was not a pagan. 120 Grateful for His blessings; Allah chose him and guided him to the Straight Path. 121 And We gave him good in this world, and in the next he will most surely be among the good. 122 So We commanded you to follow the way of Abraham the upright who was not of idolaters. 123 The Sabbath was only prescribed for those who differed concerning it, and verily, your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection about that wherein they used to differ. 124 (O Prophet), call to the way of your Lord with wisdom and goodly exhortation, and reason with them in the best manner possible. Surely your Lord knows best who has strayed away from His path, and He also knows well those who are guided to the Right Way. 125 If you want to retaliate, retaliate to the same degree as the injury done to you. But if you are patient, it is better to be so. 126 Endure thou patiently (O Muhammad). Thine endurance is only by (the help of) Allah. Grieve not for them, and be not in distress because of that which they devise. 127 for God is with those who are righteous and those who do good. 128
