WITH ALL THIS, man [often] says, "What! Once I am dead, shall I again be brought forth alive?" 66 Does man not remember that We created him before when he was nothing? 67 So, by thy Lord, without doubt, We shall gather them together, and (also) the Evil Ones (with them); then shall We bring them forth on their knees round about Hell; 68 Thereafter, We shall surely draw aside, from each sect, whichever of them against the Compassionate were most in excess. 69 for, indeed, We know best as to which of them is most deserving of the fires of hell. 70 It is the inevitable decree of your Lord that every one of you will be taken to hell. 71 Then We shall deliver those that were godfearing; and the evildoers We shall leave there, hobbling on their knees. 72 And when Our Clear Verses are recited to them, those who disbelieve (the rich and strong among the pagans of Quraish who live a life of luxury) say to those who believe (the weak, poor companions of Prophet Muhammad SAW who have a hard life): "Which of the two groups (i.e. believers and disbelievers) is best in (point of) position and as regards station (place of council for consultation)." 73 And how many a generation have We destroyed before them who were better in possessions and [outward] appearance? 74 (Muhammad), tell them, "The Beneficent God gives respite to those who have gone astray only until they face the torment with which they were threatened or to the Day of Judgment. Then they will find out who will have the most miserable place and the weakest forces. 75 God gives greater guidance to those who are guided; and good deeds that endure are better with your Lord for reward, and better for consequence. 76 Have you seen him who rejected Our signs and said: "Surely I shall continue to be favoured with riches and children." 77 What, has he observed the Unseen, or taken a covenant with the All-merciful? 78 On the contrary, We will write down what he says and prolong the length of his punishment. 79 and We shall inherit from him what he says, and he shall come to Us alone. 80 And they have taken gods, other than Allah, that they might be a power from them. 81 But nay! [On Judgment Day] these [very objects of adoration] will disavow the worship that was paid to them, and will turn against those [who had worshipped them]! 82
