Man is prone to say: "Shall I be raised to life after I die?" 66 But does not man call to mind that We created him before out of nothing? 67 And, by thy Lord, verily We shall assemble them and the devils, then We shall bring them, crouching, around hell. 68 Then We will separate from every group those who were strongly rebellious against the Beneficent God. 69 Then, verily, We know best those who are most worthy of being burnt therein. 70 And there is not one of you but shall come to it; this is an unavoidable decree of your Lord. 71 We will save the pious ones from the hell fire and leave the unjust people therein in crowded groups. 72 And when Our manifest revelations are rehearsed unto them, those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: which of the two portions is better in station and goodlier in company? 73 And many a generation We did destroy before them, who exceeded them in wealth and pomp! 74 Say: 'Whosoever is in error, let the All-merciful prolong his term for him! Till, when they see that they were threatened, whether the chastisement, or the Hour, then they shall surely know who is worse in place, and who is weaker in hosts.' 75 And God endows those who avail themselves of [His] guidance with an ever-deeper consciousness of the right way; and good deeds, the fruit whereof endures forever, are, in thy Sustainer's sight, of far greater merit [than any worldly goods,] and yield far better returns. 76 Hast thou seen him who disbelieveth in Our revelations and saith: Assuredly I shall be given wealth and children? 77 Has he the knowledge of the unseen or has the Beneficent God established such a binding agreement with Him? 78 Nay, but We shall record that which he saith and prolong for him a span of torment. 79 And We shall inherit from him that whereof he spake, and he will come unto Us, alone (without his wealth and children). 80 And they have chosen (other) gods beside Allah that they may be a power for them. 81 Instead, they shall reject their worship, and become adversaries against them. 82
