Beholdest thou not that We have sent the satans upon the infidels inciting them by an incitement? 83 Hence, be not in haste [to call down God's punishment] upon them: for We but number the number of their days. 84 The Day We shall gather the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) unto the Most Beneficent (Allah), like a delegate (presented before a king for honour). 85 and drive the evildoers as herds, into Gehenna 86 [on that Day] none will have [the benefit of] intercession unless he has [in his lifetime] entered into a bond with the Most Gracious. 87 And the disbelievers said, “The Most Gracious has chosen an offspring.” 88 Surely you have made a monstrous statement. 89 Well-nigh the heavens are rent thereat and the earth cleft in sunder and the mountains fall down in pieces. 90 That they ascribe a son (or offspring or children) to the Most Beneficent (Allah). 91 It does not befit the Most Compassionate Lord that He should take a son. 92 There is no one in the heavens and earth but that he comes to the Most Merciful as a servant. 93 He has enumerated them and counted them a [full] counting. 94 each one of them shall come to Him one by one on the Day of Judgement. 95 Verily, those who believe [in the Oneness of Allah and in His Messenger (Muhammad SAW)] and work deeds of righteousness, the Most Beneficent (Allah) will bestow love for them (in the hearts of the believers). 96 So We have made this (the Quran) easy in your own tongue (O Muhammad SAW), only that you may give glad tidings to the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - See V. 2:2), and warn with it the Ludda (most quarrelsome) people. 97 for, how many a generation have We destroyed before their time - [and] canst thou perceive any one of them [now,] or hear any whisper of them? 98
