See you not that We have sent the Shayatin (devils) against the disbelievers to push them to do evil. 83 Therefore, do not hasten (in seeking a scourge against them). We are counting their days. 84 The Day shall soon come when We shall bring together the God-fearing to the Most Compassionate Lord, as honoured guests; 85 and the criminals will be driven and thrown into hell, 86 On that Day none will have the power to intercede for them except those who received a sanction from the Most Compassionate Lord. 87 And they say: "The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that He has begotten a son ['Iesa (Christ)], and the pagan Arabs say that He has begotten daughters (angels, etc.)]." 88 This is certainly a monstrous lie! 89 This would almost cause the heavens to rent apart, the earth to cleave asunder and the mountains to crumble down in fragments, 90 For they have attributed a son to Ar-Rahman, 91 And it is not worthy of the Beneficent Allah that He should take (to Himself) a son. 92 There is none in the heavens and the earth but comes unto the Most Beneficent (Allah) as a slave. 93 He has counted them and exactly numbered all; 94 And all of them are coming to Him on the Day of Resurrection alone. 95 Surely those who believe and do deeds of righteousness -- unto them the All-merciful shall assign love. 96 And We make (this Scripture) easy in thy tongue, (O Muhammad) only that thou mayst bear good tidings therewith unto those who ward off (evil), and warn therewith the froward folk. 97 And how many a generation have We destroyed before them! Perceivest thou of them anyone or hear of them a whisper? 98
