T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We have not sent the Quran down to you to distress you, 2 But only as a Reminder to those who fear (Allah). 3 a revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established. 5 To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and whatever lies in between them, and all that lies under the ground. 6 Whether you speak aloud [or in a low voice], He hears all, for He knows your secrets and what is even more hidden. 7 God -- there is no god but He. To Him belong the Names Most Beautiful. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 Behold, he saw a fire: So he said to his family, "Tarry ye; I perceive a fire; perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 But when he came close to it, a voice called out: "O Moses! 11 I am your Lord! Take off your sandals, for you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed: 13 I am God. There is no deity save Me; so worship Me alone, and say your prayers in My remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming; I would conceal it that every soul may be recompensed for its labours. 15 Let him who does not believe in it and follows his lust not turn your thought away from it, lest you are ruined. 16 "And what is that in your right hand, O Musa (Moses)?" 17 'Why, it is my staff,' said Moses. 'I lean upon it, and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep; other uses also I find in it. 18 He said: Cast it down, O Moses! 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent, gliding. 20 The Lord said, "Hold the serpent and do not be afraid; We will bring it back to its original form." 21 And draw in your hand to your side; it will come out white without disease - another sign, 22 “In order that We may show you Our great signs.” 23 Go to Pharaoh, he has become insolent' 24
