T H (Taa Haa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. 1 We have not revealed unto thee (Muhammad) this Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed, 2 Except as a reminder for one who fears. 3 Sent down by One Who created the earth and the lofty heavens. 4 The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established. 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and on earth, and all between them, and all beneath the soil. 6 Whether you speak out aloud (or in a low voice), He knows what is said secretly, and even that which is most hidden. 7 God: There is no god but He. To Him belong the attributes most beautiful. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa? 9 Behold, he saw a fire: So he said to his family, "Tarry ye; I perceive a fire; perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 And when he came to it, he was called, "O Moses, 11 Verily I! I am thy Lord: so take off thy shoes; verily thou art into the holy valley, Tuwa. 12 I have chosen you. So listen to what is being revealed. 13 "Verily, I am Allah: There is no god but I: So serve thou Me (only), and establish regular prayer for celebrating My praise. 14 Verily the Hour (of the great change) is about to come. I keep it secret that every soul may be rewarded for its endeavour. 15 Let none bar thee from it, that believes not in it but follows after his own caprice, or thou wilt perish. 16 The Lord asked, "Moses, what is in your right hand?" 17 'Why, it is my staff,' said Moses. 'I lean upon it, and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep; other uses also I find in it. 18 God said, "Moses, cast it down." 19 So he threw it down, and thereupon it was a snake, moving swiftly. 20 [Allah] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to its former condition. 21 And draw in your hand to your side; it will come out white without disease - another sign, 22 That We may show you [some] of Our greater signs. 23 “Go to Firaun, he has rebelled.” 24
