Moses said: "Lord! Open my breast for me; 25 And ease my task for me; 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 “In order that they may understand my speech.” 28 and appoint for me a helper from among my family, 29 Aaron my brother 30 Strengthen by him my back. 31 “And make him a partner in my task.” 32 so that we exalt You 33 And remember Thee oft. 34 Surely You know us well." 35 He said: Thou art granted thy request, O Moses. 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on you another time (before). 37 when We revealed Our will to your mother, saying, 38 "'Put him into a chest, then cast it into the river. The river will cast it on to the bank, and there he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and his.' I showered My love on you so that you might be reared under My watchful eye. 39 “When your sister went, then said, ‘Shall I show you the people who may nurse him?’ And We brought you back to your mother in order to soothe her eyes and that she may not grieve; and you killed a man, so We freed you from sorrow, and tested you to the maximum; you therefore stayed for several years among the people of Madyan; then you came (here) at an appointed time, O Moosa.” 40 I have chosen you for Myself. 41 Go thou and thy brother with My signs, and slacken not in remembrance of Mine. 42 Go, both of you, to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 43 Speak to him with gentle words; perhaps he will ponder or fear' 44 They both said, "Our Lord, We fear that he may commit some excess against us, or exceed all bounds in transgression." 45 [Allah] said, "Fear not. Indeed, I am with you both; I hear and I see. 46 "So go you both to him, and say: 'Verily, we are Messengers of your Lord, so let the Children of Israel go with us, and torment them not; indeed, we have come with a sign from your Lord! And peace will be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 Lo! it hath been revealed unto us that the doom will be for him who denieth and turneth away. 48 Pharaoh said, "Who then is the Lord of you both, Moses?" 49 He said, "Our Lord is He who gave each thing its form and then guided [it]." 50 Said Firaun, “What is the state of the former generations?” 51 Moses said: "Its knowledge is with my Lord, recorded in the Book. My Lord does not err, nor does He forget." 52 It is God who has made the earth as a cradle for you with roads for you to travel. He has sent water from the sky to produce various pairs of plants. 53 To eat and feed your cattle. Surely there are signs in these for those who are wise. 54
