The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ THE TRUE BELIEVERS will be successful, 1 Those who humble themselves in their prayers; 2 And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that Allah has forbidden). 3 And those who pay the Zakat. 4 and guard their private parts 5 Save from their wives or the (slaves) that their right hands possess, for then they are not blameworthy, 6 But those who covet more than this will be transgressors; 7 Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants; 8 And those who strictly guard their (five compulsory congregational) Salawat (prayers) (at their fixed stated hours). 9 Those are the inheritors 10 Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally. 11 Indeed We created man from a chosen soil. 12 Then We placed him as a sperm in a firmly established lodging; 13 Thereafter We created the sperm a clot; then We created the clot a lump of flesh; then We created the lump of flesh bones; then We clothed the bones with flesh: thereafter We brought him forth as another creature. Blest then be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 After that, surely, you will die. 15 and then on the Day of Resurrection you shall certainly be raised up. 16 And We created above you seven ways, and We were not heedless of creation. 17 And We sent down out of heaven water in measure and lodged it in the earth; and We are able to take it away. 18 We have produced palm-groves and vineyards for you, in which there are abundant fruits for you; and you eat these, 19 And a tree (olive) that springs forth from Mount Sinai, that grows oil, and (it is a) relish for the eaters. 20 And behold, in the cattle [too] there is indeed a lesson for you: We give you to drink of that [milk] which is within their bellies; and you derive many [other] uses from them: for, you eat of their flesh, 21 And on them, as well as in ships, ye ride. 22
