The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Blissful are the believers 1 Those who in their prayer are lowly. 2 Who avoid vain talk; 3 and at almsgiving are active 4 And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 5 except with their spouses and slave-girls. The practice of carnal relations is lawful with them. 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors - 7 And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. 8 And who guard their prayers. 9 These are the real gainers, 10 that shall inherit Paradise; and in it they shall abide for ever. 11 Verily We created man from a product of wet earth; 12 Thereafter We made him (the offspring of Adam) as a Nutfah (mixed drops of the male and female sexual discharge) (and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of the woman). 13 Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators. 14 Then after that you shall surely die, 15 Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected. 16 And We have created above you seven layered heavens, and never have We been of [Our] creation unaware. 17 We have sent a measure of water from the sky to stay on earth and We have the power to take it away. 18 Then through water We caused gardens of date-palms and vines to grow for you wherein you have an abundance of delicious fruits and from them you derive your livelihood. 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 And verily in the cattle for you is a lesson. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are advantages many, and of them ye eat. 21 and upon them, and on the ships, you are borne. 22
