The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers; 1 those who, in their Prayers, humble themselves; 2 And who keep aloof from what is vain, 3 And who are givers of poor-rate, 4 those who safeguard their chastity 5 save from their wives, or those whom their right hands possess; for with regard to them they are free from blame " 6 But whoever seeks to go beyond that, these are they that exceed the limits; 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 and who guard their prayers [from all worldly intent]. 9 These are indeed the inheritors. 10 who will inherit Paradise; they shall live there for ever. 11 And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay. 12 Then made him a drop of fluid in a secure shelter. 13 and then We create out of the drop of sperm a germ-cell, and then We create out of the germ-cell an embryonic lump, and then We create within the embryonic lump bones, and then We clothe the bones with flesh - and then We bring [all] this into being as a new creation: hallowed, therefore, is God, the best of artisans! 14 After that, surely, you will die. 15 Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected. 16 And We have created above you seven paths, and We are never unmindful of creation. 17 We send down water from the sky in determined measure, and store it up in the earth; and We have power to drain it away. 18 Then We produce for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you and whereof ye eat; 19 And We also produced the tree which springs forth from Mount Sinai, containing oil and sauce for those that eat. 20 And Verily! In the cattle there is indeed a lesson for you. We give you to drink (milk) of that which is in their bellies. And there are, in them, numerous (other) benefits for you, and of them you eat. 21 And on them, and on ships you are carried. 22
