The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Certainly will the believers have succeeded: 1 Those who humble themselves in their prayers; 2 Who shun all frivolities, 3 Who strive for betterment; 4 those who safeguard their chastity 5 Save in regard to their spouses and those whom their right hands own: so they are not blameworthy 6 (but whosoever seeks after more than that, those are the transgressors) 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 And those who are watchful of their acts of prayer. 9 Those are the heirs 10 Those who will get the inheritance of Paradise; they will abide in it forever. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 which was then turned into a living germ and placed in safe depository. 13 then We created of the drop a clot then We created of the clot a tissue then We created of the tissue bones then We garmented the bones in flesh; thereafter We produced him as another creature. So blessed be God, the fairest of creators! 14 Then indeed, after that you are to die. 15 Again, on the Day of Judgment, will ye be raised up. 16 We made several highways one over the other above you. We are not neglectful of creation. 17 And We sent down water from the sky in proper measure, then stored it in the earth; and indeed We are Able to take it away! 18 Then through water We caused gardens of date-palms and vines to grow for you wherein you have an abundance of delicious fruits and from them you derive your livelihood. 19 And We also produced the tree which springs forth from Mount Sinai, containing oil and sauce for those that eat. 20 And most surely there is a lesson for you in the cattle: We make you to drink of what is in their bellies, and you have in them many advantages and of them you eat, 21 And on them and on the ships you are borne. 22
