Pray, “My Lord! If You show me the promise they are given,” 93 then do not include me, my Lord, among these wrong-doing people." 94 We certainly have the power to show you what they have been warned about. 95 Repel thou the evil with that which is fairer. We Ourselves know very well that they describe. 96 And say, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils, 97 And I seek refuge with Thee, my Lord! lest they may be present with me. 98 (But the unbelievers will persist) until when death comes to one of them he will say: "O Lord, send me back again 99 so that perhaps I shall act righteously for the rest of my life." Although he will say so but his wish will never come true. After death they will be behind a barrier until the day of their resurrection. 100 Then, when the trumpet [of resurrection] is blown, no ties of kinship will on that Day prevail among them, and neither will they ask about one another. 101 Then he whose scales are heavy -- they are the prosperers, 102 But those whose scales are lighter will perish and abide in Hell for ever. 103 the fire will scorch their faces, and they will abide therein with their lips distorted in pain. 104 “Were not My verses recited to you, so you used to deny them?” 105 They will say: "Our Lord! Our misfortune prevailed over us. We were indeed an erring people. 106 Our Lord! Take us out of this. Then if we revert (to evil-doing) we shall indeed be wrongdoers." 107 He shall say: slink away there unto, and speak not unto Me. 108 There was a group of my servants among you who always prayed: Lord, forgive us and grant us mercy; You are the best of those who show mercy. 109 But you ridiculed them. So much so that out of (spite) for them you forgot to remember Me and laughed at them. 110 Indeed, I have rewarded them this Day for their patient endurance - that they are the attainers [of success]." 111 They will be asked: "How long did you live on the earth in terms of years?" 112 They will say, “We stayed a day or part of a day, so ask those who keep count.” 113 God will say, "You have indeed remained there for a short time. Would that you knew it during your life time. 114 Did you, then, think that We created you in mere idle play, and that you would not have to return to Us?" 115 So, exalted be Allah, the True King! There is no god but He, the Lord of the Great Throne. 116 If anyone invokes, besides Allah, Any other god, he has no authority therefor; and his reckoning will be only with his Lord! and verily the Unbelievers will fail to win through! 117 Hence, [O believer,] say: "O my Sustainer! Grant [me] forgiveness and bestow Thy mercy [upon me]: for Thou art the truest bestower of mercy!" 118
