Pray, “My Lord! If You show me the promise they are given,” 93 “Therefore my Lord, do not group me with the unjust.” 94 [Pray thus] for, behold, We are most certainly able to let thee witness [the fulfillment, even in this world, of] whatever We promise them! 95 [But whatever they may say or do,] repel the evil [which they commit] with something that is better: We are fully aware of what they attribute [to Us]. 96 Say, "Lord, I seek your protection against the strong temptations of the devils. 97 and I seek refuge with Thee, O my Sustainer, lest they come near unto me!" 98 When death comes to any of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back 99 That I may work righteously in that which I have left. By no means! It is but a word he uttereth; and before them is a barrier until the Day when they shall be raised. 100 And when the trumpet is blown there will be no kinship among them that day, nor will they ask of one another. 101 Then as for him whose good deeds are preponderant, these are the successful. 102 but if it weighs less, one will be lost forever in hell. 103 The Fire shall scorch their faces, exposing their jaws. 104 Have not My revelations been rehearsed unto you, and them ye have been belying? 105 They will say: Our Lord! Our evil fortune conquered us, and we were erring folk. 106 Our Lord! Take us out of this. Then if we revert (to evil-doing) we shall indeed be wrongdoers." 107 He (Allah) will say: "Remain you in it with ignominy! And speak you not to Me!" 108 Surely there was a party of My servants who said: O our Lord! we believe, so do Thou forgive us and have mercy on us, and Thou art the best of the Merciful ones. 109 But you took them in mockery to the point that they made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them. 110 Lo! I have rewarded them this Day for their steadfastness, so that they, and they alone, are triumphant." 111 And He will ask: 'How many years did you live on earth' 112 They will say: "We stayed for a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep count of this." 113 He (Allah) will say: "You stayed not but a little, if you had only known! 114 So do you think that We have created you needlessly, and that you do not have to return to Us? 115 So, exalted be Allah, the True King! There is no god but He, the Lord of the Great Throne. 116 He who crieth unto any other god along with Allah hath no proof thereof. His reckoning is only with his Lord. Lo! disbelievers will not be successful. 117 And say: 'My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of the merciful' 118
