ART THOU NOT aware that it is God whose limitless glory all [creatures] that are in the heavens and on earth extol, even the birds as they spread out their wings? Each [of them] knows indeed how to pray unto Him and to glorify Him; and God has full knowledge of all that they do: 41 And Allah's is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and to Allah is the eventual coming. 42 Do you not see how God drives the clouds, then joins them together, then piles them into layers and then you see the rain pour from their midst? He sends down from the skies mountainous masses [of clouds] charged with hail, and He makes it fall on whom He will, and turns it away from whom He pleases. The flash of His lightning may well-nigh take away the sight. 43 Allah alternates the night and the day. Indeed in that is a lesson for those who have vision. 44 Allah has created every [living] creature from water. And of them are those that move on their bellies, and of them are those that walk on two legs, and of them are those that walk on four. Allah creates what He wills. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent. 45 Assuredly We have sent down revelations illuminating: and Allah guideth whomsoever He listeth unto a path straight. 46 They say, "We have believed in God and the Messenger and we have obeyed them." Then a group of them turn away from their (belief). They are not believers. 47 And when they are called to [the words of] Allah and His Messenger to judge between them, at once a party of them turns aside [in refusal]. 48 And if the judgement is in their favour, they come towards it willingly. 49 What, is there sickness in their hearts, or are they in doubt, or do they fear that God may be unjust towards them and His Messenger? Nay, but those -- they are the evildoers. 50
