۞ By inspiration we told Moses: "Travel by night with my servants; for surely ye shall be pursued." 52 Then Pharaoh sent into the cities summoners, 53 (Saying): "Verily! These indeed are but a small band. 54 They are always harassing us. 55 And most surely we are a vigilant multitude. 56 So, We expelled them from gardens and springs, 57 and [deprived them of their erstwhile] station of honour!" 58 Thus we let the Israelites inherit them all. 59 So they pursued them at sunrise. 60 So when the two hosts saw each other, the companions of Musa cried out: Most surely we are being overtaken. 61 'No, indeed' he replied, 'my Lord is with me and He will guide me' 62 Then We inspired Moses, saying: Smite the sea with thy staff. And it parted, and each part was as a mountain vast. 63 And We brought near, there, the others. 64 We saved Moses and all the people with him 65 But We drowned the others. 66 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 67 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
