۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 Then Pharaoh sent into the cities summoners, 53 'These' they said, 'are a small band, 54 they have enraged us, 55 and we are a host on our guard' 56 So We made them leave their gardens and springs, 57 and [deprived them of their erstwhile] station of honour!" 58 Thus (were those things taken from them) and We caused the Children of Israel to inherit them. 59 At sunrise they set off in pursuit of them 60 And when the two hosts came in view of each other, Moses' companions said: 'We have been reached' 61 Moses said, "Certainly not. My Lord is with me and He will certainly guide me." 62 We sent a revelation to Moses saying, "Strike the sea with your staff." The sea was rent asunder and each side stood high up like a huge mountain. 63 Then brought We near the others to that place. 64 and We delivered Moses and his companions, all of them, 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 67 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
