۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 Then Pharaoh sent among the cities gatherers 53 (Saying): "These (Israelites) are but a small band, 54 And lo! they are offenders against us. 55 And indeed, we are a cautious society... " 56 Thus did We drive them out of their gardens and springs 57 And treasures and a station noble. 58 Thus. And We caused to inherit it the Children of Israel. 59 And they overtook them at sunrise. 60 and as soon as the two hosts came in sight of one another, the followers of Moses exclaimed: "Behold, we shall certainly be overtaken [and defeated]!" 61 Musa said: by no means; verily with me is my Lord; He shall guide me. 62 So We sent the divine revelation to Moosa that, “Strike the sea with your staff”; thereupon the sea parted; so each part was like a huge mountain. 63 Then We brought the two parties closer. 64 And We saved Musa and those with him, all of them. 65 And We drowned the others. 66 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 67 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 68
