And recite to them the news of Abraham, 69 When he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?" 70 They said, 'We serve idols, and continue cleaving to them. 71 He said: hearken they unto you when ye cry? 72 "Or do they benefit you or do they harm (you)?" 73 They said: Nay, we found our fathers doing so. 74 He said, 'And have you considered what you have been serving, 75 you and your fathers, the elders? 76 Verily they are an enemy unto me, save the Lord of the worlds. 77 who created me. It is He who guides me; 78 And it is He who feeds me and gives me drink. 79 He who cures me when I am ill; 80 He will cause me to die and will bring me back to life. 81 And who I aspire that He will forgive me my sin on the Day of Recompense." 82 My Lord, give me judgment, and join me with the righteous. 83 And appoint me a tongue of truthfulness among the latter. 84 and place me amongst the inheritors of the Garden of Bliss. 85 and forgive my father; for he is one of the misguided; 86 And do not disgrace me on the Day they are [all] resurrected - 87 the Day on which neither wealth will be of any use, nor children, 88 except him who comes before Allah with a pure heart; 89 For, [on that Day,] paradise will be brought within sight of the God-conscious, 90 And the Fierce Fire shall be made apparent unto the seduced ones. 91 who will be asked, "What did you worship 92 Other than God? Can they save you or even save themselves?" 93 Thereupon they will be hurled into hell - they, as well as all [others] who had been lost in grievous error, 94 and Satan's legions, all together. 95 They shall say while they contend therein: 96 By Allah, we were truly in a manifest error, 97 When We held you (false gods) as equals (in worship) with the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists); 98 It is none but those steeped in guilt who led us into this error, 99 We have no intercessors now, 100 “Nor a caring friend.” 101 Were there for us a return, we would be of the believers. 102 In this there is evidence (of the truth), but many of them do not have any faith. 103 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 104

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
