And Nuh's people belied the sent ones. 105 When their brother Noah said to them, "Will you have no fear of God? 106 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 107 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 108 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 109 So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 110 ۞ They said: Shall we believe in you while the meanest follow you? 111 Said he: "And what knowledge could I have as to what they were doing [before they came to me]? 112 Lo! their reckoning is my Lord's concern, if ye but knew; 113 I would not drive away the believers; 114 I am only a clear warner' 115 They said: If thou cease not, O Noah, thou wilt surely be among those stoned (to death). 116 Noah said, "My Lord, my people have rejected me, 117 Therefore judge Thou between me and them with a (just) judgment, and deliver me and those who are with me of the believers. 118 We saved him and those who were with him in the laden ship, 119 and drowned the rest. 120 Verily herein is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 121 And lo, thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
