The people of Nuh (Noah) belied the Messengers. 105 when their brother Noah said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 106 I am for you a faithful Messenger, 107 So fear Allah and obey me. 108 I ask no payment from you for my preaching. The Lord of the Universe will give me my reward. 109 So guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me. 110 ۞ They said, "Should we believe you while you are followed by the lowest [class of people]?" 111 He said, 'What knowledge have I of that they have been doing? 112 It is only for my Lord to take account of them. Would that you made use of your understanding! 113 And I am not to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a Prophet. 115 'Noah' they replied, 'if you do not desist you shall be of those stoned' 116 He said: My Lord! Lo! my own folk deny me. 117 So adjudge between me and them conclusively, and save me and the believers who are with me." 118 So We delivered him and those with him in the loaded ark, 119 Then after it, We drowned the rest. 120 There is certainly a sign in that; but most of them do not believe: 121 And lo, thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
