(The nation of) Aad belied their Messengers. 123 When their brother Hud said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 124 I am for you an honest Messenger. 125 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 126 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 127 Do you build monuments on every high place in vanity, 128 And seek ye out strongholds, that haply ye may last for ever? 129 When you lay hands upon anyone, you do so as tyrants. 130 “Therefore fear Allah, and obey me.” 131 And fear He who provided you with that which you know, 132 He has given you abundance of cattle and children 133 gardens, and springs. 134 indeed, I fear for you the torment of an awful day." 135 They said: "It is the same to us whether thou admonish us or be not among (our) admonishers! 136 That is nothing but a habit of the ancients, 137 And we are not going to be punished. 138 And they denied him, so We destroyed them. Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 139 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 140

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
