The people of Lot rejected the Messengers, branding them liars. 160 When their fellowman Lut said to them, “Do you not fear?” 161 I am for you an honest Messenger. 162 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 163 And I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds; 164 Do you approach males among the worlds 165 And leave ye your spouses your Lord hath created for you? Aye! ye are a people trespassing. 166 They said: "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will be expelled (from the city)." 167 He said, "Indeed, I am, toward your deed, of those who detest [it]. 168 My Lord! deliver me and my household from that which they work. 169 Then We delivered him and all his family 170 Except an old woman who lingered behind. 171 But the rest We destroyed utterly. 172 And We rained on them a rain (of torment). And how evil was the rain of those who had been warned. 173 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 174 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
