The dwellers of the wood belied the sent ones. 176 When Shu'aib (Shuaib) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah (and obey Him)? 177 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 178 "So fear Allah and obey me. 179 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 180 ۞ Give a full measure and be not of those who diminish; 181 “And weigh with a proper balance.” 182 "And defraud not people by reducing their things, nor do evil, making corruption and mischief in the land. 183 "And fear Him Who created you and (who created) the generations before (you)" 184 They said, "You are only of those affected by magic. 185 and a mere mortal like us. We think you are a liar. 186 Then make fragments of the heaven fall upon us, if thou art of the truthful. 187 He said: My Lord knows best what you do. 188 But they denied him, and We seized them with the torment of the Day of Shadowing (when the cloud had rained down fire). It was indeed the torment of a terrible day! 189 Verily in that is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 190 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 191
