The dwellers of the wood belied the sent ones. 176 When Shu'eyb said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 177 I am for you an honest Messenger. 178 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 179 And I ask of you no wage for it; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ Fill up the measure and do not diminish the goods of people, 181 and weigh with the straight scale, 182 "And withhold not things justly due to men, nor do evil in the land, working mischief. 183 and have fear of Him Who created you and the earlier generations." 184 They said, "You are no more than a bewitched and insane man 185 You are nothing but a man like us, and we think you are a liar. 186 Therefore cause a portion of the heaven to come down upon us, if you are one of the truthful. 187 He said: My Lord is Best Aware of what ye do. 188 Then they belied him; wherefore there laid hold of them the torment of day of shadow. Verily it was the torment of a Mighty Day. 189 Surely, in this is indeed a sign; but most of them would not believe: 190 And most surely your Lord is Mighty, the Merciful. 191

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
