And verily it is a revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 Which the True Spirit hath brought down 193 upon your heart (Prophet Muhammad), in order to be one of the warners, 194 In a clear Arabic language. 195 Truly, it is in the Books of the ancients. 196 Is it not a sign to them that the learned scholars (like 'Abdullah bin Salam who embraced Islam) of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)? 197 If We had sent it down on a barbarian 198 So that he should have recited it to them, they would not have believed therein. 199 Thus do We make it traverse the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe therein until they behold the torment afflictive. 201 It will come upon them suddenly when they are not expecting it. 202 Then they will say: "Can we be respited?" 203 So for Our punishment are they impatient? 204 Hast thou then seen, if We content them for (long) years, 205 And then the promise that is given to them, does come upon them- 206 what avail will their past enjoyments be to them? 207 And We did not destroy any city except that it had warners 208 As a reminder; and never have We been unjust. 209 And it is not the Shayatin (devils) who have brought it (this Quran) down, 210 it behoves them not, neither are they able. 211 Indeed they, from [its] hearing, are removed. 212 Therefore do not worship another deity along with Allah, for you will be punished. 213 And warn thou thy clan, the nearest ones. 214 And lower thou thy wing unto those who follow thee as believers. 215 And if they disobey thee, say thou: verily I am quit of that which ye work. 216 Put your trust in the Almighty, the Most Merciful, 217 Who seeth thee standing forth (in prayer), 218 and [sees] thy behaviour among those who prostrate themselves [before Him]: 219 He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you, (O people!), on whom it is that the evil ones descend? 221 They come down to every mendacious sinner, 222 (Into whose ears) they pour hearsay vanities, and most of them are liars. 223 And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them: 224 Do you not see how they wander aimlessly in every valley, 225 And that they say that which they do not? 226 Save those that believe, and do righteous deeds, and remember God oft, and help themselves after being wronged; and those who do wrong shall surely know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
