Truly, it is the sending of the Lord of the Worlds. 192 which the truthful spirit has carried down 193 to your heart that you might become one of those who warn (others on behalf of Allah), 194 in the clear Arabic tongue. 195 Its news was also mentioned in the ancient Books. 196 And has it not been a sign to them that it is recognized by the scholars of the Children of Israel? 197 But [even] had We bestowed it from on high upon any of the non-Arabs, 198 And he had read it unto them, even then they would not have been believers therein. 199 Thus have We caused it to enter the hearts of the sinners. 200 they shall not believe in it until they see the painful punishment 201 But the (Penalty) will come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 They will therefore say, “Will we get some respite?” 203 So do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 Beholdest thou? if We let them enjoy for years. 205 and then the chastisement of which they were being warned were to come upon them, 206 none of their luxuries will be able to save them from the torment? 207 Never a city We destroyed, but it had warners 208 To remind, and We are never unjust. 209 The satans did not bring down this (Clear Book), 210 They are unworthy of it, nor can they do it. 211 Indeed they have been removed far from even (a chance of) hearing it. 212 Therefor invoke not with Allah another god, lest thou be one of the doomed. 213 And warn [whomever thou canst reach, beginning with] thy kinsfolk, 214 And be kind and humble to the believers who follow you. 215 And if they (thy kinsfolk) disobey thee, say: Lo! I am innocent of what they do. 216 Put thy trust in the All-mighty, the All-compassionate 217 Who sees you when you stand up. 218 or move during your prostration with the worshippers. 219 He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you (of him) upon whom the Shaitans descend? 221 They descend upon all sinful self-deceivers 222 They listen eagerly, but most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets - it is the seduced who follow them. 224 Do you not see that they wander about bewildered in every valley? 225 And that they say what they do not do? - 226 Save those who believed and worked righteous works and remembered Allah much, and vindicated themselves after they had been wronged. And anon those who do wrong shall come to know with what a translating they shall be translated. 227
