Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Alif-Lam-Mim. 1 These are the verses of the Book of wisdom. 2 A guidance and a mercy for the well-doers: 3 Who are constant in devotion, pay the zakat, and are certain of the Hereafter. 4 These are on guidance from their Lord, and these! they are the blissful ones. 5 And of men is he who takes instead frivolous discourse to lead astray from Allah's path without knowledge, and to take it for a mockery; these shall have an abasing chastisement. 6 And when Our verses are recited to him he haughtily turns away as if he did not hear them – as if there is deafness in his ears; so give him the glad tidings of a painful punishment. 7 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens of serenity. 8 therein to dwell forever -- God's promise in truth; and He is the All-mighty, the All-wise. 9 He created the heavens without pillars you can see, and He cast on the earth firm mountains, lest it shake with you, and He scattered abroad in it all manner of crawling thing. And We sent down out of heaven water, and caused to grow in it of every generous kind. 10 Such is Allah's creation. Show me, then, what any others, apart from Allah, have created. Nay, the fact is that the wrong-doers are in manifest error. 11
