Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
AlifLaamMeem. 1 There is no doubt that this Book is revealed by the Lord of the Universe. 2 Or do they say, "He invented it"? Rather, it is the truth from your Lord, [O Muhammad], that you may warn a people to whom no warner has come before you [so] perhaps they will be guided. 3 It is God who created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, in six spans, then assumed all authority. You have no protector other than Him, nor any intercessor. Will you not be warned even then? 4 He governs all that exists, from the celestial space to the earth; and in the end all shall ascend unto Him [for judgment] on a Day the length whereof will be [like] a thousand years of your reckoning. 5 This is the Knower of the unseen and the seen, the Mighty the Merciful, 6 who has created all things well. And He originated the creation of man out of clay, 7 He made His offspring come into existence from an extract of insignificant fluid, 8 Then He made him complete and breathed into him of His spirit, and made for you the ears and the eyes and the hearts; little is it that you give thanks. 9 They say, 'What, when we have gone astray in the earth, shall we indeed be in a new creation?' Nay, but they disbelieve in the encounter with their Lord. 10 ۞ Say, "The angel of death will take you who has been entrusted with you. Then to your Lord you will be returned." 11
