Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Ya Sin. 1 By the Qur'an full of wisdom. 2 Thou art indeed one of the messengers, 3 On a Straight Path (i.e. on Allah's religion of Islamic Monotheism). 4 The sending down of the Mighty, the Most Merciful 5 so that you may warn a people whose fathers were not warned and so they are unaware. 6 Already hath the judgment, (for their infidelity) proved true of most of them, for they believe not. 7 We have put yokes round their necks right up to their chins, so that their heads are forced up (and they cannot see). 8 and We have put before them a barrier and behind them a barrier; and We have covered them, so they do not see. 9 It is all the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them for they shall not believe. 10 Thou canst [truly] warn only him who is willing to take the reminder to heart, and who stands in awe of the Most Gracious although He is beyond the reach of human perception: unto such, then, give the glad tiding of [God's] forgiveness and of a most excellent reward! 11 Verily, We shall indeed bring the dead back to life; and We shall record whatever [deeds] they have sent ahead, and the traces [of good and evil] which they have left behind: for of all things do We take account in a record clear. 12
