And a sign for them is the dead land. We gave it life, and We brought forth from it grains, so that they eat thereof. 33 and We made therein gardens of palms and vines, and therein We caused fountains to gush forth, 34 That they may eat of His fruit. And their hands have not produced it, so will they not be grateful? 35 Holy is He who created all things in pairs; of what the earth grows, and of themselves, and other things which they do not know. 36 And there is a sign in the night for them. We strip off the day from it and they are left in darkness, 37 And the sun runs [on course] toward its stopping point. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing. 38 And We have appointed positions for the moon till it returns like an old branch of the date palm. 39 [and] neither may the sun overtake the moon, nor can the night usurp the time of day, since all of them float through space [in accordance with Our laws]. 40 And a Sign for them is that We bore their race (through the Flood) in the loaded Ark; 41 And We created for them from the likes of it that which they ride. 42 If it were Our will, We could drown them: then there would be no helper [to hear their cry], nor could they be saved. 43 save as a mercy from Us, and enjoyment for a while. 44 And when it is said unto them: fear that which is before you and that which is behind you, that haply ye may find mercy, they withdraw. 45 yet never any sign of the signs of their Lord comes to them, but they are turning away from it. 46 When they are told: "Spend of what God has given you," the unbelievers say to those who believe: "Why should we feed those whom God should have fed if He pleased?" You are only in palpable error. 47 And they say: When will this promise be fulfilled, if ye are truthful? 48 They await not but one shout, which shall lay hold of them while they are yet wrangling. 49 Then they cannot make bequest, nor can they return to their own folk. 50

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
