And to whomsoever We give long life, We bend him over in His constitution; what, do they not understand? 68 We have not taught him poetry; it is not seemly for him. It is only a Remembrance and a Clear Koran, 69 To warn the living*, and to prove the Word against disbelievers. (Only the believers are deemed alive in Allah’s sight.) 70 Do they not see that We have created cattle for them, out of what Our hands have wrought, so they are their masters? 71 And We have tamed them for them, so some of them they ride, and some of them they eat. 72 some for milk to drink and some from which other benefits may be received? Will they not be grateful? 73 They have set up other gods besides God, hoping to be helped by them, 74 Those deities can render them no help. Yet these devotees act as though they were an army in waiting for them. 75 So let not their speech grieve thee (O Muhammad). Lo! We know what they conceal and what proclaim. 76 Does not man see that We have created him from the small seed? Then lo! he is an open disputant. 77 And he puts forth for Us a parable, and forgets his own creation. He says: "Who will give life to these bones when they have rotted away and became dust?" 78 Say: "He who brought them into being in the first instance will give them life [once again,] seeing that He has full knowledge of every act of creation: 79 “The One Who has created for you fire from the green tree, so you kindle from it.” 80 Is He who created the heavens and the earth unable to create their like? Yes, indeed, He is the Creator, the Knower. 81 His command, when He intends anything, is only to say to it: Be, so it is. 82 So glory be to Him, in whose hand is the dominion of everything, and unto whom you shall be returned. 83
