The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
182 verses, revealed in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages] ranged in serried ranks, 1 By those (angels) who drive the clouds in a good way. 2 And those who recite the Reminder, 3 surely your God is One, 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, and the Lord of the Easts. 5 Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars 6 And (there is) a safeguard against every rebellious Shaitan. 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly and they are thrown at from every side, 8 rejected, and theirs is an everlasting chastisement, 9 Except him who snatcheth away a word by stealth, and him then pursueth a glowing flame. 10 Then inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Are they a stronger [or more difficult] creation or those [others] We have created?" Indeed, We created men from sticky clay. 11 No, you marvel, while they scoff. 12 And they do not understand, when explained to. 13 And whenever they see a sign, they mock at it. 14 And they say: Lo! this is mere magic; 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected. 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 Say: 'Yes, but worthless' 18 For it is only a single scaring, then behold, they are watching 19 They will then say: “Woe for us. This is the Day of Judgement.” 20 (It will be said): "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
