The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those [angels] lined up in rows 1 And those who drive away (the wicked) with reproof 2 And thus proclaim the Message (of Allah)! 3 Verily your Ilah (God) is indeed One (i.e. Allah); 4 He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Lord of the Eastern regions. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 (For beauty) and for guard against all obstinate rebellious evil spirits, 7 These satans cannot listen to what transpires in the High Council for they are pelted away from every side 8 and are repelled. Theirs is an unceasing chastisement. 9 Except him who snatches off but once, then there follows him a brightly shining flame. 10 Then ask them (i.e. these polytheists, O Muhammad SAW): "Are they stronger as creation, or those (others like the heavens and the earth and the mountains, etc.) whom We have created?" Verily, We created them of a sticky clay. 11 But you wonder, while they mock, 12 And when they are reminded, they mind not, 13 And when they behold a sign, they turn to scoffing. 14 And say, "This is not but obvious magic. 15 They say, "Shall we be brought to life again after we die and turn into dust and bones? 16 And so also shall our forefathers of yore be raised to life?” 17 Say: Aye! and you shall be abject. 18 It shall be but one shout, lo! they shall be staring. 19 And will say, “O our misfortune!” It will be said to them, “This is the Day of Justice.” 20 This is the Day of Judgment which ye were wont to belie. 21
